Jonathan Parenteau is a strategic leader in Indigenous economic revitalization, governance, and policy, with 15+ years of experience advancing reconciliation and capacity building across Canada. A member of Paddle Prairie Métis Settlement, he currently serves as Director of Economic Revitalization at Mokwateh, where he leads initiatives that support Indigenous self-determination and bridge economic systems.

He previously managed capacity development at the First Nations Financial Management Board and held leadership roles at NVision Insight Group and his own consultancy, JP Business Solutions. Jonathan has also served as Chief Administrative Officer for his home community and worked in public accounting with MNP.

He holds an MBA, specializing in Ecological Economics, a Bachelor of Management from Athabasca University, specializing in Accounting and Finance, and is pursuing an LLB from the University of London. His work is rooted in Indigenous governance, ecological knowledge according to the Nehiyaw worldview passed on to him, and a deep commitment to economic empowerment.
